Hundreds of Seattle area kids, teens, and adults have become proficient on the electric bass and the cello by taking lessons with Oberlin Conservatory graduate Todd Kovell. Todd teaches all levels of ability.
Todd has trained with some of the most rocking bass players in the world, and had a top-notch cello education. As a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory, he enjoys sharing his knowledge with Seattle area electric bass and cello students through quatlity professional music instruction.
Having played cello and electric bass guitar since 1978, Todd is the rare musician that is at home playing pop or classical music. Whether it’s a jazz standard, the Bach suites, an R&B bass line, or heavy metal, Todd can help you master it. He also teaches slap bass.
Todd has played bass and cello with blues, jazz, funk, and rock bands in the Seattle area. This eclectic experience has given him an intimate knowledge of the training and dedication it takes to succeed in any style of music.
